I teach here because I am able to individualize all academic subjects to my students who are in a class of no more than 11 students and have a minimum of two staff.

Why I Teach

I have wanted to be a teacher since fifth grade. With my immediate and nonimmediate family, I have seen the positives and negatives of the education system when dealing with the special education population. I wanted to be a positive role model in the education field. High Road School requires constant parental and family contact/engagement, so being able to connect to the students' families and hear them say I have made a difference keeps me motivated. In my classroom, any progress, no matter how small, is celebrated! I want my students to always remember me as one of their great elementary or middle school teachers.
