The district is supported by over 178 certified staff and more than 105 non-certified staff. Student achievement is high on multiple measures including SBAC, NGSS, PSAT, SAT and AP testing.

Hartford Magazine and Connecticut Magazine have consistently rated Granby well in the education category for small towns. Schools within the district have received national or state recognitions in the past five years.

Students with special needs are fully included in the life of the school. Granby embraces cultural diversity through participation in magnet schools, Open Choice and foreign exchange programs.

"21st Century Citizenship" and character education is woven into the fabric of our schools. Programs include advisor/advisee groups, adventure clubs, responsive classroom activities and community service.

Recent district highlights include the introduction of the Generations Mentoring Program, a new compulsory K-2 strings program for 2018-19, and a focus on equitable instructional practices with guidance from our Equity Taskforce.

Granby continues to roll out a 1:1 technology program with emphasis on using access to technology to enhance high-quality instruction.
