About

The Bethany Public School District is governed by an elected, nine-member Board of Education. The leadership and operations of the district is conducted by the Superintendent of Schools. The faculty and staff consist of nearly 85 employees.

Bethany is served by two school districts. At the elementary level, the Bethany Public School District operates one school of approximately 360 students, in grades pre-K to 6. The Bethany Public School District has strong community support and involvement. There is an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), as well as the daily involvement of many parents and community volunteers. Educational, recreational and related programs are offered throughout the school year and during the summer months.

At the secondary level, the Amity Regional School District #5 operates middle schools (grades 7-8), in Bethany and Orange, and an award-winning Comprehensive High School (grades 9-12) in Woodbridge. These schools serve secondary grade level students from the three towns of Bethany, Orange and Woodbridge.
